Full-Strength Cardinals Down Braves

The Staples-Motley Cardinals are back at full strength.
It showed Friday night in Staples, Minn., as the home team soared to a 65-33 win over Menahga (10-10, 5-5 Park Region).
Top scorer Jasmine McGillvray returned from a two game hiatus to net a year-best 25 points off of the Cardinals bench. The junior forward averages about 13 points per game.
S-M forced 32 Braves turnovers in the team’s best defensive effort since a 100-31 win over Park Rapids Jan. 19.
With the win, the Cardinals up their record to 16-4 overall, one win shy of the 17 recorded last year, with five games to play.
Up next: At Detroit Lakes (12-9) Tuesday, Feb. 14. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15.
