Crosby-Ironton played another even game in defeating Staples-Motley for the second time this season, 71-50 Friday night.
Caleb Baker led the way in this one with 20, as the Rangers wrapped up Mid-State Conference play 6-4.
Staples-Motley (7-18) finished the conference slate 3-7.
The Cardinals played tighter basketball this go-round (C-I defeated S-M 72-41 on Feb. 3).
In the end, they could not stop all of Crosby-Ironton’s moving parts and fell to the Rangers for the 13th time in 14 tries.
Michael Hoge contributed 15 points in the Rangers’ 15th victory of the season.
Seth Auger led Staples-Motley with 13.
